My Goal
Learning English is like riding a roller coaster that never stops. English and a roller coaster both have a similarity that they both have steps that sometimes make me happy and gloomy. First, when riding a roller coaster I get inside the ride. At this moment, I always hesitate between two choices just riding or waiting outside until the ride ends. If I choose to ride the roller coaster, I fasten my seatbelt and wave to other nervous people who are waiting in line. The pity face that they show me makes me more nervous. Everything around me shakes and I go up and up until the highest place. Then I suddenly fall down so fast that all I do is just scream. After the short downhill ride ends, I think that the ride was not as scary as I thought it would be and gets all excited. However, the ride vibrates up to a higher point than before and falls again. Continuously this happens when riding a roller coaster and English is similar to this. Everytime I begin a new English class I hesitate because I am not sure if this class is suitable for me. If I take the class I do well in the beginning because I have a passionate mind. But as time goes by I loose focus and begin to fail.
What I fear most of learning English is that no matter how hard I study the same routine of a roller coaster would happen to me and never end. This depresses me everytime I study English and makes me to fear English, From this semester I hope to get closer to English. I want to no longer fear it but to love it and study harder.
Very creative metaphor! Good writers think outside the box, and this was fun to read. It made me think about what sometimes happens when a roller coaster is "too exciting" - and I hope that doesn't happen to you. If so, we will have to keep a bucket and mop nearby.
답글삭제I hope you continue to use the blog creatively and have fun writing. You write well, and have almost no issues with grammar, so just keep writing and reading freely, and you will improve without thinking "I must improve!" I encourage you to write extra posts about films, music, news etc.
Good start! Enjoy the ride.
